Blogging is too personal compare to facebook which is more opened. Blogging is confined into a small group of people; it is like a private property and not everybody can have a look on it.
Compare to it, everybody can have an access on Facebook. It is more dangerous to let some information from you on it. Information is on view.
I don't really agree, Facebook is as private as you want, it depends of the king of settings that you have chosen ... :)
