EASTER HOLIDAYS IN 2012

Have nice vacation for Easter.
Do you like milk chocolate or plain chocolate?
When I was a kid I used to search for chocolate eggs in the back-yard of grandparents' cottage. It was a tricky game and still it is. I realize it doesn't really exist in Grenoble; It sounds to be an unfashionable tendency, searching for eggs into the garden to make children having fun.
Any way it was a roar of laugh.
Memories are still vivid.

THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY last podcast

THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY
How to grow Pumpkins, part one

The third podcast is about Pumpkin Production from Vegetable Crops Team, Ohio.
The Ohio State University is involved in it.
The recommandation has good crops of pumpkins is drain soil.
Scientific research had been made about virus, powdery mildew resistance, for cropping different kind varieties of pumpkins. After that the team has to use such organic sources and fertilizers pumpkins provided.
They do not have crops without any pests such as weeds, insects and important diseases. Also they have to use chemicals to exterminate rootworms; the fungicides are effecient too.
Most of pumpkin crops are destined to celebrate festivities such as Christmas and Halloween.

On my campus in SAINT MARTIN D'HERES it exists some organizations to promote gardening. One of them has a place to live in front of Droit-Lettres Libraby. They are cultivating different vegetable sets like leeks, squash, lettuce and so on. Many students are involving in it. They are promoting gardening tools.

One of the main damages is weeds in that the garden is situated on a plot of land where weeds are growing quickly. They have to irrigate it with pipes and to exterminate pests with chemicals like fungicides.

I would like to support it but I have no free-time; however I think it is a nice way to get in touch with the other students, especially you feel alone.

Be satisfied with it.
Comment on it.
ARE YOU SUPPORTING A STUDENT ORGANIZATION NOW?

AME COQUINE

Carmenne

It was really to me a roaring of laugh. Some of them are positive aspects I mean sexual aspect. GOOD DISCOVERING.

MY FIRST AUDIO PODCAST

Supporting Excellent Teaching of English Learners: New Direction. Kris Gutierrez-School of Education.

Here is a conference to support teachers otherwise. It is called the Seaside First Conference.

During this conference the second female speakeras a teacher  is congratulating the advisers of the Council, doners, and the faculty director as well. They have committed into an improvement of education at Stanford University.

Many goals are defined-leadership, policy, teaching.

According to her dialogue is essential between policy-makers and teachers to improve Education. First of all the improvement must be established at federal level to understand these goals-that is to say what kind of kwowledge to enact and support.
By that some experiments have been made in communities to deduce the robust principles of teaching and learning. In a word which are the tools?

Before that she has to know who her students are and what their oral language is. She realized that they were dull language learners. They were like this in that they are immigrants.

A federal policy has to be settled to determinate universal principles. The federal government have to create labels to promote English learners.

The basic principles are the following:
Firstly the Inoculation means new ways of thinking.
Secondly the Encapsulation to achieve conceptions of robust learnings. They have to move across everyday context.
Thirstly the Remediation that is to say acknowledge of one's position.

Thus new practices and tools have to be used. She dealt with new sense-making tools such as the oral language-more and more languages there will be more and more powerful one will be.

Lastly they do not need any directives; they have to learn different sets of tools for studying documentation of learning. Teachers have to meet parents to define the appropriate levels of teaching. They research for testimonia forms as regards as ethnography.

STORYTELLING

One way to develop imagination should listen to storytellers, teachers in particular. It still sounds to be an habit now but it is not this case. Children are often used to using digital technology. The book is removed by the computer-to me it is a pity. In fact when I was a child I was used to listening my mother who told me some fairy tales as I was lying in bed. From now on it is still in memory. It has helped to change my mind.
On the other hand, La Fontaine's fables have not helped myself. There are always morals in it.
The one which sounds to be common to me is Little Red Riding Hood.

AT SCHOOL

Teaching needs tools.
These tools are used by the teacher-anyone else.
Anyone has their own way by teaching.
Children can be satisfied with them or do not.
It depends on results about them.
One doen't change the efficiency of these tools because all of them are useful. As we told us Life is Learning. We should learn anything else whenever we want. All is essential about our own background.
Every tool is used in any context and not only at school.

If you want to post a comment, please do it!

WHAT ABOUT LIFE

When we speak about "Learning is all about life" that is to say we have to learn all days in our lifetime; however it refers at school in particular. Learning is like Teaching. Here we need to have teachers to learn. It is about school life. The first step is nursery, and primary school, and middle school, and then high school. After passing A-levels we canf refer to professional life or academic years.

For example one of the most famous Shakespeare's books was Romeo and Juliet. It has been one of my studyings at high school. I recommend you the film about it.

Whereas when we speak about "Life is learning" it concerns all kinds of subjects like playing the guitar or preparing a meal with a specifix cooking preparation. Let's turn on the cooking preparation of Fish and Chips.

OLD AND NEW MEDIA

Youtube is a free and opened website which is delivered for everybody. Whoever wants to put on some videos online  is permitted to do it. It is a new media and not an old media like radio is. Radio and T.V. are old ones. However with the development of technology we are obliged to convert ourselves with it.

So YouTube looks like T.V. and radio, yet it is on laptop. It is getting more and more popular and everyone knows it since we all have a laptop; it sounds to be universal. We can find whatever you want.

There are plenty French radio stations like Europe 1. Here is one of the French presentors. He is Naguy. It is not his first name but his nickname. It is a radio for fun but not only. It broadcast some news, and entertainments too. Contrary to it the other ones can be only to have distraction like French radios dedicated to the Youth. These ones are not quite serious. There can be discussions about love stories.

FOOD

Food is essential to survive. If you don't have it we will die. Consider the new language like the body and Facebook like food. To improve it we need some energy so it comes from Facebook or other online discussions.  It is an appropriate metaphor since it works well.

BLOGGING

Blogging is too personal compare to facebook which is more opened. Blogging is confined into a small group of people; it is like a private property and not everybody can have a look on it.
Compare to it, everybody can have an access on Facebook. It is more dangerous to let some information from you on it. Information is on view.

Podcasting is so famous in the young world. It is an habit to see students carrying some headphones in the tram.

Headphones are different types, colours; there are some patterns on it too. It is more and more fashionable from now on.

Podcast is either audio or video. Besides we need to pay it to obtain subscription. Two opposed terms are existing-upload and download-

Uploading is made possible with headphones to listen to it where you want as well as when you want.

Contrary to it, downloading is the streaming mode and you only get it online such as YouTube-the most famous ones-

It is not a traditional media yet a new one. I would suggest that any old people are carrying this kind of technology on their ears.

ter-sncf.com

from Google Images

I travelled by train the last weekend. All people around me were using digital technology such as i-phones with earplugs etc. Besides I watched Coline's finding out, and I think reading is a mean of sharing lovely moments while using new technology cuts you off the world. I noticed people used them were the young. There were only two old people and I were not listened to them. In any case no conversation.

Is it your habit to take the train, isn't it?

BLOGGING

It has been essential to stay in touch for a long time. This kind of idea is made possible by the act of blogging. You need two characters-the receiver and the sender-The link will be the computer through Internet. With it is born Web 2.0-one of its principles is the link between two people abroad. Besides many means are available from now on like videoconferecences such as Skype.

A useful weblink

www.ted.com
This is one of the animated videos-it deals with failures which are a part of the learning process. The female speaker used the term "embracing failure". According to Diana Laufenberg it is better "to go out in real places" and not only to stay in front of a screen. Students need to be active-"to play, to inquire". She made some experiences with her studentds and it was a real success.
Use this weblink to watch videos.

TECHNOLOGY

We can ask three questions about technology : what is technology to you ? So there was the revolution of Internet in 1995 with the main keyword digital. From then on we have to live with that time, and then the evolution on earth is made through Internet. School education is using tools of it such as blogs, which consists of  plenty of aspects-podcasts, wordlinks, sharing etc.
